LSP Certification Program

Common Sense Advisory covers the language service industry like no other research firm. We combine our deep understanding of the requirements of translation and localization with unsurpassed knowledge of and access to the suppliers of language services. We complement our research, experience, and knowledge of this ecosystem with independent, objective analysis.

The Orange Book of Translation Companies is meant for organizations that buy language as translation and localization services. It contains a deep listing of LSPs that provided us with the information needed to evaluate their readiness to serve your needs. It provides useful information to better inform your vendor selection.

The Levels

  • Level 1: Checklisted LSP. Passing this free review will qualify an LSP to be listed as a qualifying supplier.
  • Level 2a: Validated LSP. Passing this free review and reference check acknowledges your LSP's work and customer satisfaction earning the rank of Validated LSPs.
  • Level 2b: Industry Expert LSP. Validated LSPs can supply references in industry sectors -- for example, automotive, life sciences, or energy -- to get certified as an expert in that field.
  • Level 3: Certified LSP. Validated LSPs can earn a second rank of Certified Supplier through this fee-based program in which Common Sense Advisory conducts an onsite audit of the LSP's processes.

What is special about being a Certified LSP?

A translation company is an organism with three subsystems: processes and procedures, the technology that supports them, and most importantly, the people who make it all happen.

Through an onsite audit, we analyze these three subsystems separately and in concert. Once we collect and analyze information, review references, and audit the company, we can certify that they can render a world-class service Project alter Project, and give a positive experience to their customers in a multi-project environment.

Translation companies should not undertake our Certification Program in order to comply with a requirement. Rather, it exists to help all language service providers who aim to integrate all the elements, to align corporate and personal goals and strategies, and to present themselves as true service providers, there to fill the needs of their customers.

How does the program work?
Our online briefing program is available 24*7 to examine and certify your LSP's ability to provide translation and localization services which increase the ability of your customers to compete within their market.
